Something interesting has been observed above Uranus's cloud layers. An ultraviolet glow, called electroglow, extends thousands of miles into space. Electroglow probably comes from the collision of negatively charged particles with hydrogen molecules. A faint electroglow also exists on Jupiter, Saturn, and Saturn's moon Titan. Uranus's electroglow is much brighter, though.
